How to Use BlueMobile's 'Create Own' Feature (Old Portal)

The Create Own feature allows you to customize your tool layout in BlueShadow after scanning in the BlueMobile app. OSAAP will not begin the approval process until you clarify that you've completed your design.

Watch this short video on how to use this feature:

1. Create a board in BlueMobile

  • Log in to BlueMobile, and create a new board within your project

  • At the top select the Create Own button. OSAAP will now ignore this board until you confirm it's ready.

  • Proceed through the board creation process by choosing your desired material, dimensions, and accessories. You can learn more about the board options here: How Do I Add a Board to my Project in BlueMobile
  • Scan your tools on an OSAAP light panel. You can purchase a light panel from this link: 2D Portable Light Panels
For more information about scanning tools, you can click here: Scanning Images in BlueMobile

2. OSAAP Web Portal:

  • Go to OSAAP.com on a computer and log in to the web portal using your project's username and password.

  • Create a board once again and open the scanning tab at the top. Find the saved images on your computer and select them.
  • Edit the tools and work offline until you are satisfied with the layout. There are several tutorials that go into more detail about BlueShadow. Click here for more information: OSAAP support
  • Once ready, save as a .bord file on your computer. Indicate that the board is complete by naming the file accordingly. For example: "final_design.bord"

4. Final Upload

  • Return to OSAAP's web portal and upload the downloaded file as help media
  • Make sure to click Upload

  • Please let us know that you have completed your board so that we can continue the approval process. To do this, send a support ticket to us (select the bell icon at the top of the web portal) and type a short message in the text box.
We recommend saying "done with create own" or "finished with design"
