Why Do I Need The Specific OSAAP Light Panel?
Your pictures must be taken on a light panel that meets OSAAP specifications for the scanning process to work correctly.
When using a light pane;, you must use one of the OSAAP-standardized panels due to dimensional requirements. However, a light panel is not always required as the image-capture background. You may also use our paper-scanning option, which is available for specific paper sizes, such as 8.5" × 11" (standard US Letter).
Accurate dimensions for both the light panel and the paper are critical, as they are used to calculate the tool’s dimensions. We base these calculations on the exterior dimensions of the panel or paper and scale the tool accordingly.
Our free CAD software requires high quality specific photos in order for the scanning to work correctly. Within the mobile app, Blue Mobile, the photo settings will be auto adjusted to meet our specifications. You may also select which medium you are using within the app for the image whether it be a panel or a piece of paper.
Each scan has to meet specific requirements in order to be accepted into a design,

In addition, the frame of the light panel is the datum from which our algorithm scales the parts in the photo to size. If the frame of the light panel is a different size or light intensity from OSAAP's specifications, your images will not scale to the correct size.
